On November 27, 2018, Prof. Li Feng, Ms. Meng Li, Mr. He Ning, Ms. Jing Dueñas, and Ms. Rezen Obstaculo convened in a meeting and discussed possible topics for the next seminar-workshop for IEC. Different topics were put on the table but a major concern is if teachers will be receptive to the topic at all. This concern led to conducting an online survey to collect and gather teachers’ opinion on topics they deem relevant to discuss in a seminar-workshop.
After careful deliberation and revision on the formulation of the online survey, the URL link to the survey was officially shared on the IEC and foreign teacher’s WeChat groups. From December 5, 2018, to December 12, 2018, IEC teachers and foreign teachers answered the survey online.
After respondents answered the survey, it was time to gather the results and present them in a form of a video presentation.Ms. Liu Zhu and Mr. Russell Burgess were more than happy to take the tasks on. On December 14, 2018, a face-to-face meeting was held with Ms. Liu Zhu and Mr. Burgess to collaborate and work on outlining and analyzing the results of the online survey as well as organizing the video presentation. Afterward, all meetings and collaboration were mainly done online. The script for the video presentation was created using an online tool for creating and editing documents, the video presentation was done using a screen-casting tool, the entire video was compiled and edited using Moviemaker, and the final video was distributed in social media platform QQ and WeChat.
As a result, here’s the video presentation of the online survey. At the end of the video, the topic for the next seminar-workshop for IEC is proposed.
