16 foreign students from the School of International Education of Zhengzhou University of Light Industry participated in a one-day off-campus and on-campus cultural activity. Two leading teachers and students from Russia, Mongolia and Morocco took a bus from the library entrance to the first stop, the Yellow River Museum, at 8:30 am that day. The students showed a strong interest in the history of the Yellow River. During the visit, they were sometimes amazed by the dangers of the Yellow River's repeated diversions and floods, and sometimes marveled at the hardships and efforts of the Chinese people in flood control. Some students would use the illustrations of the civilization and historical figures in the Yellow River Basin to verify their own knowledge, and even occasionally they would be excited when they knew a few Chinese characters.
The second stop was the Yellow River Scenic Area. The teachers and students took an amphibious hovercraft to drift on the Yellow River and enjoy the natural scenery along the way. At the end of the boat was a Yellow River beach, where tourists disembarked and took photos. Looking far into the distance, the mountains were majestic and the water was vast. The beach was soft and it was so soft that it made people hesitate. Although they had to travel by boat and car, the students did not look tired. The majestic statues of the two emperors Yan and Huang inspired the young people's competitive spirit. They walked onto the plank road, admired the two ancestors up close, and overlooked the long mother river.
The journey home with laughter and joy came to an end. The tourists turned into good boys and girls and began a struggle with needles and threads. At the Intangible Cultural Heritage Center on the fourth floor of the east building of Zhengzhou University of Light Industry, the masters guided these foreign children to sew sachets. There were endless problems such as pricking hands, falling threads, asymmetry, wrong color matching, falling beads, and losing tassels. Fortunately, good things will come after much trouble. In the end, the students still produced relatively satisfactory works and successfully completed a day of cultural fun.
